Welcome to the Gate House Annexe Self Catering Accomodation

The Gate House is a 17th century cottage situated in the centre of the lovely village of Picklescott. The village consists of 18 houses, a village hall and the famous Bottle and Glass inn which serves good food and local beers. The glorious views and walking on the Long Mynd are a five minute drive away and Picklescott itself has many beautiful walks to offer.

The historic towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are in easy reach as is Acton Scott Working Farm, where the recent BBC Victorian Farm was filmed. The ancient Stiperstones can be reached in the next valley and then on to Wales...

Prices

£300 per week

(1 bedroom sleeps 2, cot available by arrangement)

Short breaks may be available on application

The accommodation comprises:

GROUND FLOOR

Kitchen

The kitchen has an electric fan oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine.  The cupboards are full of crockery, pots, pans, cutlery etc plus a complimentary bottle of wine, milk, coffee, tea and sugar for your arrival.

Shower Room

Shower room with electric shower, wash basin and toilet.   All towels are provided.

Living/Dining Room

This room comprises a dining table and chairs,  a settee and easy chair, coffee table, 22” flat screen TV with full Sky package and a DVD player.   If you are unable to live without your laptop and the internet you may be able to pick up wireless broadand (depending on which way the wind is blowing!).

Cupboard under the stairs

The cupboard contains an ironing board and iron, hair dryer, clothes airer, and kitchen stool/steps.

SECOND FLOOR

Open staircase to the bedroom

The bedroom is under the eaves with beams (watch your head!).   There is a double bed with duvet and pillows and all bedlinen is provided; two bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe and a small pair of drawers.  There are also shelves under the window with an assortment of books.
